Completing these items prior to vacating your home ensures you will NOT receive phone calls with complaints AFTER CLOSE!
- Carpets vacuumed/cleaned, if needed
- Floors swept and mopped
- Counters and sinks cleaned
- Oven and stove tops cleaned
- Toilets cleaned
- Drawers and cabinets cleaned out. Paper/vinyl liners thrown out
- Wipe down cabinets
- Clean medicine cabinets
- Clean showers/tubs
- Remove nails and hooks from the walls.
- Wash Windows, Inside and out.
- Sweep the garage (Don’t forget to remove articles from shelves and cabinets)
- *You are responsible for removing ALL TRASH PRIOR to vacating, NOT prior to close! DO NOT LEAVE ANY trash in the cans or around the property for others to pick up. (80% of the time whoever you made arrangements with will not show up and you will be billed a much higher rate to remove it!)
- Paint used for the interior and exterior of the house should stay, unless otherwise instructed. It would be helpful if you label each can, indicating where it was used. If not labelled, please discard using proper means.
- Replace burned out light bulbs.
- DO NOT REMOVE any fixtures or window coverings that are attached to the home. (Unless agreed in writing with buyers). These include: light fixtures, hose holders attached to the home, ovens, stove, faucets and cabinets attached to the wall or floor. If in doubt, please ask us.
- Leave keys, garage openers, instruction manuals, warranties and repair receipts in a kitchen drawer. Leave code to burglar alarm and phone number of monitoring service if not discontinued.
