Family owned and operated assisted living community in Pleasanton, Castro Valley and San Francisco. The age minimum for residents is 60, but the average age at Eden Villa is 80. Available for both long and short term stays. Those on Hospice are accepted here.
The Gardens at Ironwood

Open since 2006, The Gardens at Ironwood is Senior Apartment Active Adult Independent Living designed for those aged 62 +. There are 172 apartments. They offer a shuttle bus, classes at their clubhouse and a pool.
Heritage Estates

Heritage Estates offers 3 living options: Active Adult Apartments, Independent Living and Assisted Living. There are 130 Active Adult Apartments, 190 Independent Living Apartments (or as the staff likes to call this option “Cruise Ship” since all amenities are included: housekeeping, meals, entertainment, etc) and 60 beds in assisted living. Many amenities are offered such as a gym, spa, exercise instructors, pool and even brain fitness exercises.
Merrill Gardens

Open since 1998, Merrill Gardens at San Ramon has 40 studios and 40 1 bedrooms. They offer independent living, assisted living and respite care. Amenities include anytime dining, meals 3 times a day, shuttle service, activity room and exercise classes.
The Parkview

The Parkview has been open since 2007, conveniently located next to the Pleasanton Senior Center and Centennial Park. They have 105 apartments, 31 of which are made available at reduced rates for those who meet the income qualifications. The Parkview offers both assisted living and memory care.
Rosewood Gardens

Rosewood Gardens has 81 studio and 1 bedroom apartments offering both assisted living and memory care. Respite (short-term stay) care is also available. They offer restaurant style dining, game rooms, beauty salon and barber shop, exercise room, laundry facility and 24 hr emergency response system. If you have a green thumb Rosewood Gardens offers you an opportunity to tend your own garden. I can tell you from first- hand experience, the resident’s garden s are filled with beautiful vegetables.

Plans to “break ground” on this continuing care community will commence Spring 2011 with the first resident being able to move in Spring of 2013. There are 16 different floorplans from studio apartments up to 3 bedroom homes. Amenities are abundant with garden areas, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, auditorium, gym, spa/salon, art studio, bistro, movie theater, library, club lounge, putting green, booce ball, dog park, woodshop and a short game golf course. It is conveniently located near a shopping center and only 4 miles away from San Ramon Regional Medical Center.
Ponderosa Village at Ironwood

Ponderosa Village at Ironwood is the only single family gated new home development in Pleasanton catering to residents 55+. They have 4 Residences to choose from and only release a small number of homes at a time. In other words, each phase has been selling quickly.
