We are so excited for our friends, Margaret Zhao and Kathleen Martens, who recently won the 2012 Sharp Writ Book Award for Margaret’s Memior Really Enough: A True Story of Tyranny, Courage and Comedy. Kathleen helped Margaret write her story. It is an absolutely amazing story about Margaret’s life growing up in Communist China. She was born of a family of former factory owners in rural China, she was designated an “enemy of the state” as a child and experienced extreme poverty and oppression under the Maoist Regime. The story of how she faced and survived these hardships is told in Really Enough. I was moved and uplifted when I read Margaret’s story. Margaret and Kathleen have been guests at book clubs who have read their book. If you are looking for a “good read” for you or your book club, I highly recommend Really Enough. If it is your book club, invite Margaret to come and participate in the book discussion. I can guarantee an interesting and thought provoking discussion. Really Enough is available in electronic format and paperback at www.Amazon.com. You can also learn more by watching a short 2 minute video on the book at: Really Enough.
